Looking south and up-river to Lambeth Bridge with Vauxhall Bridge in the background. On the immediate left, St Thomas' Hospital and, beyond the bridge, London Fire Brigade HQ. On the right, past Lambeth Brige, Thames House and Millbank Tower. The Tate Gallery lies behind the tower. Millbank Millennium Pier can be seen on the right between the bridges.

Westminster Bridge in the foreground leading to the Houses of Parliament with the tower containing the bell, 'Big Ben', on the right and the Victoria Tower on the left. What was once 'New Scotland Yard' is on the far right next to Portcullis House. (New Scotland Yard is now situated in Victoria Street.)

The Houses of Parliament. Immediately to the right the twin towers of Westminster Abbey, in front of which is the church, St Margaret's, Westminster. Portcullis House (Parliamentary offices) lie immediately behind the Victoria Embankment and Westminster Pier in the foreground. Behind Portcullis House, the dome of the Methodist Church's Westminster Central Hall.

The chimneys in the distance behind and to the right of the Victoria Tower belong to the well known, but now disused, Battersea Power Station.
