A FOUR-WHEEL-DRIVE touring coach, with
thirty eight passengers on board, set out
from Alice Springs for Tennant Creek and
beyond early on a fine, crisp morning in
May 2001.
Supported by a large 4WD lorry which
carried tents, beds and cooking gear - in
fact everything including a kitchen sink! -
the group travelled a total of almost 7000
kilometres during the sixteen day tour,
much of it over gravel roads and rough
tracks.
This is a record of that journey which
encompassed a large part of the Kimberley
region of Western Australia.
