The Renaissance style Hôtel Groslot, a
private mansion on the Place de l'Étape,
was built in 1550-52 for the family Groslot. They
continued to live here until 1790. After the
revolution it was used as the town hall. The
bedroom in which the 17 year old king of france,
François II died in 1560 is now used for
weddings.

The skirt on the statue of Jeanne d'Arc in the
forecourt suffered damage from bullets during
WWII (left).
