- Death Valley, California -
Death Valley National Park comprises over three
million acres of spectacular desert scenery. The valley
is one of the hottest places on earth and contains the
lowest point in the western hemisphere. The area may
have a forbidding reputation, but visitors today will
find a place of amazing beauty with colourful rocks and
canyons, pristine sand dunes, unique evaporative salt
features, a wide range of wildlife, and relics of a
hundred and fifty years of history.
Please enjoy the following pages of
history, and pictures taken during a recent tour of the
middle region of the valley.
